Why study in Canada?

Canada has become the world’s third leading destination of international students, with more than around 600,000 foreign students coming every year.

There are valid reasons to study in Canada:

1. High-quality education with international standards

2. Affordable tuition fees

3. Ability to study and work

4. The opportunity to stay and get Canadian work experience after graduation for max 3 years

5. The opportunity for students to obtain Canadian Permanent Residency afterward

6. Safe environment, multi-diverse culture, and stable political system

FHL Immigration can help you with your admission and study permit application. We have ties with some Canadian education institutions that are listed as DLI and have eligibility to offer PGWP.

Study Permit

A foreign student who wants to study in post-secondary education in Canada must apply for a study permit.

To be able to get a study permit, the student must:

• Present a letter of acceptance from the educational institution,

• Be able to pay tuition fees for the course.

• Be able to financially support the family.

• Be able to cover the transportation cost.

• Pass IRCC medical exam (if required)

Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)

Foreign national who has a valid study permit and who is about to graduate from a post-secondary institution may apply for an open work permit under Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWP). It also means he/she is one step closer to being able to apply for Permanent Residence (PR) by later applying under one of the Economic Class skilled worker streams, such as FSW or CEC, or PNP.

Under PGWP, the foreign national who seeks a job is exempt from LMIA and is allowed to stay in Canada for a maximum of 3 years (depending on the length of the study program).
